Book Review!

This is a review of some books that have influenced my world view. Perhaps the authors are not always right. Perhaps they have their own agendas which they have not told us about. That is what makes a study more interesting; a search for the truth among the noise. I think that I have found the major political influence of modern times. It is certainly one of them. You might find them a help too.  There are also one or two that failed to excite my admiration. The readers' comments on the Amazon site are useful; so are  their ratings. Those who disapprove usually rate low. Read for yourself. Think for yourself. Decide for yourself. Good luck!

Solzhenitsyn breaks last taboo of the revolution Nobel laureate under fire for new book on the role of Jews in Soviet-era repression [ 25 January 2003 ]
Jews hate Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. It is that simple. He told the truth about them and he will never be forgiven. He will never shut up either. He has been there and seen what the KGB could do. They did it to him and didn't break him. The fact they were often Jews is something never to  forget. It won't stop them trying to hide this  though. That is why they control the media; to suppress the truth.

It caused two reactions. The first was furious abuse. The second was a news black out. This is not quite censorship but it has the same effect. Their sin was to write about intelligence and race honestly. Pushing the multiculturalism line would have been all right. Telling the truth was not and is not. Their important point is that there are differences in the average intelligence of races which  have important results. People in America have IQs averaging around 100. Blacks in America average 85; those in Africa achieve 70. Jews  come in higher at 115. Look at the statistical connections between IQ and success to know why it matters. People in prison tend to low IQs. Those with real Nobel Prizes average high. This excludes the Nobel committee's sillier awards and political awards in literature and other areas where waffle predominates. The Invisible Enemy by Edward Abboud
The title tells all. Mr. Abboud writes about the war that we are losing because we do not even know that it is happening, far less who the enemy is. As in any war, truth is the first casualty. This time lies are the main weapon. Conventional wars are noisy, dangerous, expensive  and obvious. Even modern guerrilla wars are obvious. The enemy carries out the attack in his own time but the results of an ambush or an explosion are conspicuous. A war of subversion is different. Infiltrate and take over every important organization and you will eventually control everything. Newspapers, books, film, radio, political parties, the legal profession, business, religion, education all of these things are being brought under control. It is a battle for hearts and minds. At first it was not polite to talk about our attackers.  Now it is becoming illegal. Read for yourself. Mr. Abboud makes a case and gives the facts. Read for yourself.  Think for yourself. Decide for yourself.

 

Three Whys of the Russian Revolution by Richard Pipes
Professor Pipes is not just another historian. He is an eminent historian who served on the National Security Council that advised Ronald Regan during the Cold War. There are plenty of thick books  which tell us at length about people with unfamiliar names and bury us in detail. Perhaps the truth is in there somewhere. This little book is different. It  is a summary of his view of modern Russian history and its context. He says that the Bolshevik Revolution probably caused the rise of the Nazi Party, the Second World War, decolonization and definitely caused the Cold War. These huge events make it worth understanding how and why it happened. He had reason to be interested because he was born in Poland just after the Russian Revolution. He says that it happened because of subversion by radical intellectuals. This is a part of the truth.  But you can read for yourself and decide whether you are better informed after. Robert Wilton tells us that most of the subversives  were Jews and he was there on the day. So does Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and he is part of Russia. It is interesting to see how many of them are at the centre of subversive movements. Professor Pipes is just one such. See Richard Pipes Aleksander Solzhenitsyn tells us that  Richard Pipes output is "the Polish version of Russian history". I would have said a Jewish view.

 

Last Days of the Romanovs by Robert Wilton
Mr Wilton was a reporter for The Times, one of the world's oldest newspapers and in Russia at the time of the Revolution. He also took part in the investigation of the murder of the Tsar and his family at Yekaterinburg. His book gives the membership of various important Bolshevik committees and the their nationalities. In Russia one might expect them to be predominantly Russian. In fact they were largely Jewish. Being a political activist is not necessarily being evil but the Bolsheviks and their successors succeeded in killing between 85 and 100 million people worldwide. They made the Nazi efforts look quite modest.  More and better details are in The Black Book. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn confirms Mr Wilton's case.

 

The Black Book of Communism by Stephane Courtois
This is the butcher's bill of the Bolsheviks and their successors. They killed, tortured, raped, robbed and destroyed in Russia, China, Cambodia, Cuba, South America, Africa, Eastern Europe and anywhere else they gained an entree.  Is this a case of a truth too big to see or will not see? Read for yourself. Think for yourself. Decide for yourself. 

Winter in Moscow by Malcolm Muggeridge
Malcolm Muggeridge was better known in his latter days as a commentator and television personality. As a much younger man he was a reporter in Moscow when Russia was ruled by Joseph Stalin. Mr. Muggeridge went out into the countryside and saw peasants being rounded up by the Red Army to be deported or murdered. When the Manchester Guardian got his report they were so pleased that they suppressed it. This book was never reprinted but your library will have it in its reserve collection. A close up view of practical tyranny and the people who use it for their own advantage.

 

Fatal Embrace by Benjamin Ginsburg
Mr. Ginsburg's thesis is that Jews make themselves influential by being useful to the rulers. They then abuse their influence and it all ends in tears. His book is aimed at Jews, warning them not to try it on again. He is writing to people who were thrown out of Egypt, England and literally dozens of other countries. See Jewish Expulsions. He is writing at a time of huge Jewish influence. Look at the men who surround George Bush. Some of them were in the Clinton entourage too. Ask why America invaded Iran, or was it Iraq. Living by the Sword by Stephen Green
Mr Green gives some recent history of the Middle East and in particular Palestine. He also tells us about the enormous influence of Jews in America. This had practical effects. It meant that when the version of the  F4 Phantom which was  especially fitted to carry nuclear weapons left the factory it went to the Jewish air force. The USAF came second. The Americans supplied cluster bombs to the Jews on the strict condition that they were to be used against military, not civilian targets. The Jewish air force used them when was it doing area bombing against civilians in Beirut. At least one American died as a direct result. He also tells about the Shatila Massacre and how it was set up by Ariel Sharon. One might wonder why Jews are hated. Read this book and find out why. Mr Green also tells about various Jews in the Bush administration who are de facto traitors at Serving Two Flags - Neo-Cons, Israel and the Bush ... The Wiki does not tell us about him.

 

BELL CURVE : Intelligence and Class Structure in American Life
Intelligence is what makes us different from other animals. Measuring it is worthwhile. Psychologists did but then found that they did not like the answers and their implications so they pretend that  measuring IQ is impossible or irrelevant. This is a standard method in the soft sciences. The fact that they dislike is that intelligence is different in different races. It is not politically correct to say this. Charles Murray and Richard Herrnstein did in detail with the facts, with the evidence. This has made them unpopular in some circles. It is well written and makes an easy read in what can be a difficult area. The Wiki admits to the book's existence at Charles Murray and Richard Herrnstein but suppresses knowledge of the enthusiastic abuse that was thrown at him.

 

The Skeptical Environmentalist by Bjorn Lomborg
Professor Lomborg was a statistician at Aarhus University in Denmark and a man with rock solid credentials as a greenie. He came across a critique of environmentalist positions and gave it to his students to refute. They failed to his surprise and being an honest man who could not either, wrote a book which uses government statistics to give the lie to various people whose agendas come ahead of the truth. More people have access to good drinking water, not fewer. The number of starving is down too, according to the people who go there and see what is happening. He is very unpopular with the management of the WWF [ World Wildlife Fund for Nature ]. He says in some detail that they are liars. They could sue for libel but seem to have decided not to.  Oil is not going to run out any time soon. He tells us why not. The numbers are out there. His position on global warming is that the case is unproven. The Scientific American is a well known magazine which devoted eleven pages in one edition to abusing him but stopped just short of saying that he was wrong. You might wonder why they were annoyed.

 

The Electronic Whorehouse by Paul Sheehan
Mr Sheehan was the editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and he is like a butcher with his sausages. He knows what goes into the product and it is not a particularly pretty sight. 70% of it comes from public relations outfits so the truth is immediately subordinate to the agenda. He goes through some issues that have received attention and does it very well. John Howard, the Prime Minister of Australia has been accused of lying about the children of illegal immigrants being thrown overboard. The fact is that throwing them into the sea is a standard tactic. It triggers a legal obligation in the Australian navy to rescue. Boats are then sabotaged so that they cannot be sent back to Indonesia. Passports are thrown overboard too. This is destruction of evidence. The press does not say much about these things because of the agenda. He gives references to the Parliamentary Report and many other sources. It is checkable. He also goes over the ground in l'affaire Windschuttle and gives a good account; one that will not please Marxist historians. A good read from a forceful writer.

 

The Politics of Heroin: CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade
The idea that the CIA should be a major drug runner is fantastic but Alfred McCoy takes us over the ground, telling us what happened and why. Using the hill tribes of the  Laos area against the Chinese meant paying them which translates into moving their crops for them. Rice and opium are the options and poppy is much more profitable. How do intelligence outfits operate in foreign lands? They work with other covert outfits which means the crime industry. This can become too much of a two way passage. The Mafia's payoff for help in Sicily in 1944-5 was freedom to operate and move contraband. Is it different today? Believe it if you want. They were working with hooligans in Afghanistan. Now they are trying to subvert Iran. That means liaising with bandits.

 

The Fabrication of Aboriginal History by Keith Windschuttle
I tend to assume that going to a university means access to the teachers who know their subjects and are going to tell the truth about them. Perhaps history is different because it is ultimately political. George Orwell said something like: He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future. The early settlement of Tasmania may well be a case in point. It has definitely excited controversy. Settling involved dealing with the original inhabitants, the Abos. Aboriginal comes from the same root as original. University courses tell the sad story of how they were dealt with. Murder them but rape them first and eat them after was roughly their version of the truth. Because lecturers and researchers said this it had to be true of course. Keith Windschuttle was not so sure and went to the original documentation. There was not a lot of it and none was written by Abos but in the nature of things it had some relationship to the truth. There were no recipes for Aboburger or black sausage for example but there were reports of attacks on farms and follow ups with casualty figures. This picture was very different. Our Marxist historians were not amused when it all came to light,  saying so very loudly and very publicly but never quite seem to have sued Mr. Windschuttle for libel; an interesting omission. Presuming that universities are honest is the obvious approach.  In Australia it is more complicated. If lecturers can get away with it they influence large numbers of people who will be important in later life, lawyers and politicians for example.  They are a prime Marxist target.  That is why it is done. You might care to do a Google search on Windschuttle to find a lively and passionate correspondence in the newspapers.

 

Washout by John Dawson
Various Marxist history teachers were annoyed at having their stories exposed as lies by Keith Windschuttle. They wrote Whitewash as a collective response. Washout tells us clearly and forcefully that they have side stepped the core issues while nit picking and using irrelevancies to cloud their failure. In fact their dishonesty is not just a local affair but is part of worldwide assault on academic  standards and an international agenda.

A large part of the problem, probably the bulk of it is corrupt politicians with agendas that have nothing to do with honest policing while  letting illegal immigrants and ethnics get away with it.

The Blairs and Their Court by Francis Beckett and David Henck
Tells us about the tensions between Blair's people and the Royal Family, especially at the time of Princess Diana's death. The Guardian's review tells us about the hatred and manoeuvrings of that time. The feel of the whole thing is reinforced by Andrew Rawnsley in  The Servant of the People [ 2000 ]. The Failures

Das Kapital by Karl Marx
 There are people who say that they have read this book. Rather fewer have actually done so. Far fewer have understood it. Some of those who did were vicious and dangerous hooligans like Lenin. It is worth looking at so that you know just how badly written is was. Then you can wonder why it is taken seriously. If somebody starts in the middle of an argument and proceeds outwards in random directions, clarity will not be achieved. If a man's thinking is that muddled it makes sense to wonder if he understands his arguments any better than the rest of us. It does show how good marketing can overcome dreadful writing. Amazon's reviewers seem to like it. I do not change my judgement as a result.

 

Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler aka The Little Corporal's Handbook
Mein Kampf is German for my struggle and was written mainly by Rudolf Hess to the dictation of the great dictator. It is clearer than Marx's effort but not worth the effort of looking at more than a few pages unless you have a real interest in the politics of the period. The site is that of an admirer - a fairly unusual qualification in this foul year of Our Lord.

 

Guns, God and Israel by Jill Hamilton aka the Duchess of Hamilton
This is a new book [ 2004 ] whose thesis is that Palestine was given to the Jews by men of His Majesty's Government because they were ardent Christians who cared deeply about the Bible. Also in gratitude to Chaim Weizmann who developed a process for making acetone on an industrial scale. It was a precursor for TNT, an important explosive during the First World War. The giving was formalised in  The Balfour Declaration of 2 November 1917. The link gives context. There are people who feel that it was given to them as a payoff because they brought America into the First World War on our side when we were beaten.  This is entirely consistent with her point  on page 215 that [ Thomas Jones in his Whitehall Diary ] Jan Smuts is quoted thus:-

We should hold on to Palestine. There is no more subtle influence working in the world, I hope for good, than the influence of that international people ( the Jews ), full of brains and character, and dominating much bigger nations in many parts of the world through the filtration of their ideas and policies.

The Declaration obligates the Jews to treat other peoples in the land decently. This obligation got off to a bad start when the Jews started taking over Palestinians' land. Matters have not improved. This matter is one that she passes over lightly. She tells us that Exodus by Leon Uris and The Diary of Anne Frank were highly successful Jewish propaganda pieces. The latter has been criticised as being a forgery. Buy it from Walmart and save money.
