Politicians are the people who run a country. It seems obvious but the reality is not quite the same. They have power as the Executive. Others have power and influence too. The Judiciary and Legislature are parts of the government. Then there are the Media, Education and Big Business who are all part of it. Watch the politician or civil servant set up the hugely overpriced, multigigabuck deal then depart to join the firm he gave our money to. Nigerians are more honest; they have a spot market. Pay your money and get your permit on the spot. In the UK it is a forward market; the payoff comes later. The bribery is harder to prove but very real. Think about why Blair got so rich so fast and wonder no more. Look at the manipulators making nice with politicians and making war thereby. Iraq is just one of them. Oil for Israel is the objective.
